Marietta's Rivers, Trails, and Ales 2015

While I love these colder fall days, sometimes the chill makes me think back to the warmer summer months, when Marietta still had green leaves and small festivals seemed to happen every weekend. On one such weekend Marietta became a gathering place of beer-drinking outdoors(wo)men. The wonderful Hallie of Marietta Adventure Company, whom I love working with, organized the River, Trails, and Ales Festival: four days of paddling, biking, drinking, and music for the enjoyment of Southeast Ohio. Group rides were organized for explorers of all tastes and skill levels, whether wooded trails or scenic roads. A guided history tour exploring the alleys and storefronts of historic front street was available as well. At the end of each day, the adventurers were invited to imbibe with a wine tastings at the Harmar Tavern, or on the newly released One Drop IPA at the local Marietta Brewing company. Overall a wonderful weekend, and if you missed it, you better mark it down for next year!
