Erin + Jared

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing the marriage of my first two Marietta friends. Erin Riordan and Jared Dye quickly welcomed Laura and me to the area with open arms, showing us the sights, shopping, festivals, and food. In the two months past we’ve boated down the Ohio river, braved sudden rainstorms, and explored coffee shops together. I’m glad the four of us met, and I was honored that they asked me to photograph their big day.

The wedding was on a cool Sunday afternoon. It took place at the Stuart’s Opera House in Nelsonville, with green room makeup lights shining on the faces of bridesmaids instead of actors as they got ready. Celebrating their Irish heritage, the service was officiated by a kilted friend and the  guestbook was a map of Ireland, where they will spending their honeymoon next month. Erin and Jared, thanks for inviting me to share in your beautiful day and fun party (and for blazing the trail into married life for Laura and me)!  I wish you a lifetime of joy!
